Thai's culture just more forgiving, and peaceful. About Pollution I totally agreed, something need to be done as it is just very unhealthy for everyone. About Hospital, you must had gone to Thai local government hospital (for poor ppl). In order to get a good healthcare, you must go to private hospital; they are better doctors, nurses and they all speak very good English. This guy better NOT coming back to Thailand!!! Seeing Black people in the Philippines is really joyful because I know for a fact that Philippines is finally getting recognized by other countries. That is making any Filipino like myself happy seeing our Country is getting more and more recognized by others.

You used the term "Left behind" and that is not a 100% accurate analogy in this case ...Been traveling to Philippines since 1996 ...now living in Palawan. Changes I have seen are most dramatic in the more westernized areas. Highest prevelance of spoken english has always been Luzon because english has long been taught in public schools.. Consequently Luzon/Manila was always an area with very materialistic people...Cebu has followed that trend of both english and materialism. Where English is taught in public schools you will find a changing social pattern. English speaking appears to lead to a desire to mimic USA financial traits {aka debt }. The main financial difference is that credit/debt must be PAID here...Instead of Bankruptcy as a tool to ditch debt you will find Prison in Philippines. So to acquire a Western style budget ,the quickest, easiest way is marry a western guy. And there begins the next story ... The culture remains largely the same in that after she says "yes"{to sex} you are now married.. at least in her and her Families minds....because There is NO actual Dating in Philippines...and a Date IS the Marraige Proposal. Sooooo while you are choosing your coffee flavor ....she is naming YOUR CHILDREN. Congrats on your new life Bro!
